How to read the report
AI signals are statistical patterns, not proof. A high score on a formal, carefully edited essay is common; look at which sentences glow and whether they differ in voice from the rest.
Readability for a school or undergraduate essay usually lands between grade 10 and 16. A much higher score often means over-long sentences rather than sophisticated thinking.

What does the essay checker check?
AI-typical writing signals (with a rhythm trace of sentence lengths), spelling, grammar, punctuation and style issues, six readability formulas combined into one grade, and length statistics including reading time. Plagiarism is a separate web search, linked from the report.
Is it an academic integrity checker?
It is a first-pass integrity and quality check. It shows signals worth a closer look; it does not decide whether misconduct happened. Institutions should follow their own academic integrity procedures, which usually involve talking to the student.
Can students use it before submitting?
Yes, and it’s a good habit: fix errors, see if any paragraph reads as over-polished, and keep your drafts. If your own writing gets flagged somewhere else, drafts and version history are the best evidence of your process.
Can I save the report?
Use “Print / save as PDF”. A summary of each check is also kept in your browser’s scan history, which you can clear at any time.
